Opening Comment

Here we are on September 9th with only a few scary weeks to go until our departure on November 1st. There are so many things to get done and arrange, and so many unknowns. With the help of our experienced traveling friends, we hope to have enough information to keep us out of trouble and enjoy our trip.
We will live and travel in our 35' Georgie Boy Pursuit motorhome.
Since we drove this unit back from Jacksonville Florida in April 09, we have been fixing, and updating many aspects of it. It was bought used in an eBay auction so you get what you pay for and expect that there will be problems. I have fixed the hydraulic levelers (more than once), the generator (wouldn't start from inside), the refrigerator (both the inside control panel and the "brains" board in the rear of the fridge), water pump (leak), and so many other little things. I have replaced the stereo, removed the dash mounted TV set, installed a new flat panel LCD TV in the dinette area, added a pressure tank to the water system, and replaced nearly all the incandescent lighting with LED lights.
Still to come in the next few weeks is a solar power system to charge our batteries whenever we camp in the booddocks, away from a power source. This will reduce our reliance on the generator and allow us to enjoy the peace and quiet of the remote outback.
