Just days to go and we are getting itchy to depart.

Wow! Sundays' departure is just a few days away. We have got lots done in the past few weeks.

We have got a lot of ducks lined up:
-signed up for satellite TV (Shaw Direct)
-canceled Rogers cable TV
-changed cell phone plans to cut costs appreciably
-signed up for e-billing on just about everything or direct deposit payments
-renewed our passports
-renewed Vic's drivers license as his birthday happens while away from home
-renewed car license stickers for same reason
-got medical insurance while outside Canada, Bev from Manulife and Vic from Carp
-got vehicle insurance while in Mexico from San Xavier Mexico Insurance  http://www.mexican-autoinsurance.com/ on the advice of seasoned travellers
-photocopied all our documents such as passports, birth certificates, vehicle registration, blah blah blah
-installed Skype on our new laptop, our call id is vbwhit, leave a voice mail if we can't answer
-H1N1 flu shots are up in the air as availability starts after our departure, but Bev is allergic to the shots, and Vic is undecided

We will bring the RV home tomorrow and start loading up the rest our food and clothing. Some things you just can't get in Mexico...such as Tim Horton's coffee, canned salmon, canned tuna in water, our favourite lemon dill fish sauce, pancake mix etc. We won't be taking any fresh foods like meat, eggs, or vegetables as US Border Services is sensitive to those things.

There are just a couple of small things to finish on the RV. The solar panels are complete and ready to install on the roof. I have two panel meters to replace that were faulty from the manufacturer. A shelf bracket is required for a place to sit the satellite receiver over the TV.

Sunday morning will be a little hectic getting ready to leave. We will have to ready the house for our absence so that means a few chores will need done before we can hook up the "toad" (the vehicle towed behind the motorhome) and skedaddle outta here.

First stop will be La Porte Indiana to visit my brother Don and his wife Mary.
