The last few days have been of extremes in weather. A couple of days ago we were suffering through 97 F (36 C) degrees, running the AC to sleep at night.
Yesterday while driving from Big Spring to here (60 west of Fort Worth), we drove through gusty 46 KPH (30 MPH) winds. It was a constant task to keep the rig in the lane. I was sure we were going to get pulled over and given a sobriety test. We had to stop once as the side cover was unfurling and then banging back against the side of the motorhome. I bungee cord did the trick of holding it in place for the rest of the trip.
During the night the temp dropped down to 1 C (34 F) and we had to run the heater all night to stay warm. Go figure!
Today is lovely, with temp about 80 F, light breezes, and very sunny. I think it is time to head to the pool and hot tub.
