Our niece Jenna and her boyfriend Nick booked a one week vacation at an all-inclusive resort just 15 minutes north of us in the town of Rincon de Guayabitos. We enjoyed taking them to a few spots in the area.
On Saturday Mar 10th the group of us went to the Amigos Fiesta in La Penita. It was a charity event to raise money for local projects such as plastic recycling. The Fiesta gave Jenna and Nick a chance to try local food such as tortas, ceviche, flautas, tostados, beef tacos. Entertainment included Flamenco dancers, Belling dancers, folkloric dancers as well as the rock 'n roll group the Perez Brothers. Unfortunately, Bev forgot her camera so we'll have to wait for the photos taken by Jenna and Nick
After the fiesta, we watched the parade of Volkswagen's from their annual club meet in Rincon de Guayabitos.

On Wednesday evening we went to Latitude 21 for dinner and dancing.

Thursday, we enjoyed the morning at the traveling market in La Penita, followed by lunch of delicious shrimp tacos at Hindes y Jaime's. That afternoon the 4 of us spent at the beach and watched whales breaching off shore. The whales put on quite a show for about 20 minutes! A perfect ending for Jenna and Nick's vacation!
